  14.     I read (second or third hand) a posted question about only getting 
  15. 2400/ARQ connects with trumpet winsock.  
  16.     I have an Acer 486 running Windows 3.11, with a Cardinal mvp288iv.  
  17. Does anyone know how to solve the problem?  Is it a significant 
  18. problem?  
  19.     I've tried changing winsock's baud rate, but I can only get a 
  20. 2400/ARQ connect, even though "hardware handshaking" is 115200, and the 
  21. "carrier" is 14400 (the host modem limit).     
  22.   However, when I use the faxworks software that came with my modem to 
  23. check my e-mail, I can use the terminal program dailing into the same 
  24. host computer at school with 57600 ARQ, using the SAME initialization 
  25. string that only gives me 2400ARQ with trumpet winsock. 
  26.   My initialization string is "AT &F M3 S7=045 S95=46 &K3".
  27.   Are there details on any enhanced comm drivers available?
