- I read (second or third hand) a posted question about only getting
- 2400/ARQ connects with trumpet winsock.
- I have an Acer 486 running Windows 3.11, with a Cardinal mvp288iv.
- Does anyone know how to solve the problem? Is it a significant
- problem?
- I've tried changing winsock's baud rate, but I can only get a
- 2400/ARQ connect, even though "hardware handshaking" is 115200, and the
- "carrier" is 14400 (the host modem limit).
- However, when I use the faxworks software that came with my modem to
- check my e-mail, I can use the terminal program dailing into the same
- host computer at school with 57600 ARQ, using the SAME initialization
- string that only gives me 2400ARQ with trumpet winsock.
- My initialization string is "AT &F M3 S7=045 S95=46 &K3".
- Are there details on any enhanced comm drivers available?
- Thanks, Dean
